New Volksvagen Auto Show | AUTO WORLD

Volkswagen together with Chinese venture partner FAW has revealed the new Volkswagen Passat Lingyu. Aiming to become the new B-segment ruler in one of the world’s principal markets, the manufacturers introduced several revisions to the absolute-wheelbase Passat.

The new Passat Lingyu has a wheelbase that is actually 9.1 centimeters longer than the regular Passat, gift more rear freedom, but without making the car feel as though it is massive. Thus, the troupe says, the car is a good wealth when being chauffeured, or, when winning it out for an outing. Making it more enjoyable are the reworked engines now being used. The corrupt 1.8-liter four-cylinder turbo gets a bump in horsepower to 163, up from 150. At the same time, engineers were able to lower fuel consumption by near 10%, using 6.5 liters of fuel per 100 km.

Engines’ lineup has not been changed: the 2.0-liter and 2.8-liter V6 engines. New consumers can also want between a refined 5-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
